Today we told our friends goodbye and left the train. After, we had a guide/driver take us to the JW Marriott in Mumbai where we were for a couple hours. Then we took a plane flight to Chennai where the Courtyard Marriott drove us to the hotel.
The next morning we drove to a Hindu temple on Easter Sunday, but not like the ones we visited in Bali. The one’s in Chennai are more colorful and have more figures of Hindu gods. After we drove to church and met Rising Star, the volunteer organization we are going to work with, and we also met my cousin Monica and my Aunt Sandy who was doing the trip with us. The church was a moderate size, and was pretty westernized. I was surprised by how big the building was. My teacher in Sunday School spoke great English. I am glad I went to church.
After church Mom and I joined Rising Star and started driving to a mall in Chennai. This mall was big with many floors. At the mall I ate lunch at California Pizza Kitchen, and walked almost through the whole mall. There mom bought food for us because we have make our own breakfast and lunch.
We kept on driving towards where we would be staying and on the way I talked to a boy in front of me named Jeremy. When we arrived we walked by the school/boarding school we would visit and teach at. We would be staying at the elephant house where almost all of the volunteers were staying. That night we played Soccer, sweat, ate dinner at the Green House, took a kind of cold bucket shower And visited the Bill and Dick Marriott boys hostel where San Jay was.
