May 26, 2015: Gordes/Lyon, France

Our activity this morning was biking, but we first drove up to Gordes to walk around the town and rent our bikes. Gordes was pretty like some of the other villages we visted. The mountain bikes we rented weren't normal bikes they were full suspension pedal assist e-mountain bikes.
The bikes had 4 different pedal assist modes. It was super fast when you  put in turbo mode and just powered up the rocky steep hills. My favorite part was doing some single track action while using the full suspension.

After MTB we ate lunch at an Italian restaurant where I had a delicious Pizza! Finished with lunch we got some snacks for the road and started to make our way to Lyon. Once in Lyon we tried looking for our hotel. When we found it we checked in and walked with our bags to our room. This hotel called The College Hotel, was unique in how it was designed after a school and school like dorm rooms. There was a lot of white in our room, and our bathrooms looked like an insane asylum (nervous hospital).

Out of the insane asylum we walked around near our hotel. There were restaurants and shops all around. At the train station we took the funicular up to a Cathedral. The Cathedral was beautiful inside and out, especially on the inside. On the inside there was designs and mosaics all around. Instead of taking the funicular back down we walked from the cathedral down back to our hotel. Once dressed up we walked back out on to the streets and ate some dinner. After finished with dinner dad and I went on a hunt for a banane (banana) Nutella crepe. We didn't find one shop with banana so I just had a Nutella crepe.
