We woke up at around 8:00. The first thing we did was walk around part of Lyon. The first place we visited was the old fancy looking hotel which when we got there we heard that it had been turned into a government building. Also on our walk we walked by The Beaux Arts Museum and they had a nice courtyard we visited. We had breakfast, visited a cathedral, and a pet store. Back at our hotel we were checked out and dad and I got the car from the parking space upstairs where we used the car elevator. It was really cool.
Next destination, Chamboard. It was our longest drive of the road trip. We stopped in Vichy and explored around by foot. There was a river that had beach area, where we saw a cat on a leash being walked. We ate lunch out in a park before we kept on with our drive to Chambord. When I woke up from my nap in the car we were rushing to make it in time to visit the Chateau de Chambord but luckily we made it in time. This Chateau was huge it had 200+ rooms. Most of the Chateau was stone and the rooms felt big. Along side the Chateau there was a waterway that you could bike and hunt along. there was also a big lawn and a dirt pathway running out of the Chateau. It also had a lot of chimneys that were all over the place on the roof. This place was HUGE.
Near Chambord is where we stayed overnight. We actually stayed in a small Chateau in which I loved. Later that night we all ate dinner at a nearby restaurant and I got to drive our manual car back to the Chateau. It was freakin awesome!
