Today was our last day in Bangkok before flying to Phuket, Thailand.
The day began by eating breakfast in the lounge. At the lounge we had to say goodbye to Dad and give him one last hug before he took his flight home to SLC.
Downstairs, we met Tee before driving to the Floating Market. On the way over to the Floating Market we stopped a few times. The first time was to look at the salt farm. This salt farm is kind of like the square rice fields in how the salt is grown in separate square patches and how the fields are liquidy.
We kept moving on towards the next stop, the coconut farm. The coconut farm wasn't the main attraction at the place, it was all of the animals they had! They had birds, a rooster, dogs, a Python, squirrels, and even Gibbon apes. The funniest video we had of the farm was the squirrel running up on Sydney's shoulder into her hair yelling, na na na Na NA NA, TEE TEE TEE!
When we arrived at the floating market we got off our boat and walked to the next boat that would paddle us around. On the way we came across a lady selling pictures with the her pet. Her pet wasn't an ordinary pet it was an exotic pet, a baby Slow Loris! The loris was furry and had bulging brown eyes. It once or a few time clinged to my arm with its kind of human like hands.
After holding the Slow Loris we walked over to our boat for a cruise down the floating market. The floating market was mainly touristy items unlike the picture in the Thailand book. Part of the boat cruise the water was jammed pack with other boats, motorized and not.
We ate lunch at a bird restaurant, (animal packed day!). The I only completely recognized one of the birds at the restaurant, it was a Love Bird.
In Bangkok Tee and and I got dropped off on the side of the road to flee to the Dujit Zoo, (animal packed day!). No one else wanted to go so it was just Tee and I. We walked a little by our selves then we caught a taxi to the zoo. At the zoo we saw all sorts of different animals, these are some of them; tiger, white tiger, lion, black panther, leopard, hippo, black bear, two headed turtle, monkeys, macaw, and cockatoo. To get back to the Marriott we had to get local by first walking a bit, then by taking a taxi through some traffic, then by riding the skytrain.
Dinner was up in the sky. Up above Bangkok on the 59+ floor, outside, with a view, and a breeze, we ate.
