The day started off at the Holiday Inn. We checked out of the hotel and drove to our main activities for the day. Our activity was visiting the Porsche and Mercedes-Benz museums and dealerships. The first museum we visited was the Porsche Museum. This museum had a timeline of cars, starting form the early 1900's and ending in modern day. Porsche was all about being fast and efficient. From the early 1900's Porsche thought about its aerodynamics. Porsche's biggest race they competed in was the 24 hours of Le Mans, in France. Even today they still compete in it. One of my favorite cars we saw was the Porsche 918 Spider, it is the best track car that Porsche produces. A man that worked at the museum opened the door to one of the Le Mans cars which placed well, and he handed me the original steering wheel from inside the car! It was super cool! When we were finished we bought a model of the Porsche 918 Spider we saw, then we walked to a Porsche dealership next door. There we saw everyday Porsches, and we saw a 918 Spider which costs around 700,000 Euro! Overall I thought it was interesting learning about aerodynamics, looking at the race cars, and a time line of cars.
Next, we drove to The Mercedes-Benz Museum. The museum was really modern, and unique with loads of windows. This museum was like the Porsche museum in how it would start from the old cars and end in the new, more modern cars. Mercedes was named after a wealthy man's daughter who wanted to make a car faster than any other so he hired a team to do it for him. And in its time of the early 1900's it was! Mercedes Benz currently owns; Dodge, Jeep, Smart and others! In 1969 Mercedes put out to make the fastest production car, it was named C111. In 1978 the C111 had it's last prototype with a top speed of 250 mph, but unfortunately it never made it into production. My favorite car I saw there was the C111, but another car I liked was the 300 SLR. There were only two made and it was for driving fast!
When we were finished we ate lunch at the bottom floor then walked over to the dealership. I sat in different shapes and sizes of cars, petrol to electric, and the smallest car I sat in was a Smart Car 2 door. The car was cheap, it even felt cheap on the inside with bright blue and white interior, it was like something you would drive in Japan. In the dealership we saw a couple GTS’s which are some of the shortest cars Mercedes-Benz produces.

Once we left Mercedes-Benz we took off on the Autobahn to Neuschwanstein! On the way we were caught in some bad traffic! We were in the traffic around a hour and twenty minutes. I could even hop out of the car on the Autobahn use the bathroom come back and the car would be in the same place! Just before we got to the Neuschwanstein Castle we ate dinner at a Chinese restaurant in the town of Füssen. During dinner a dog got off his leash and was just cruising around the floor until the owners noticed.
