We started the day off bright and early with early breakfast at 6 a.m. in our bed and then out by 6:30 driving to the airport. The Airport was in Denpasar, which is the Capitol of Bali, but not of Indonesia. It is a new airport. It is cool linking with a pleasant design with Balinese artwork on it. Overall Bali is a good surf place. I liked Ubud too because it had lots of activities and Canggu didn't have as many activities but Canggu was nice because we could ride bikes around to other places like Deus and Desa Seni.
We flew Air Asia over to Singapore. Flying over Mom was nervous because of the crazy storm last night with lightening and thunder and the recent Air Asia plane crash. After arriving in Singapore we went to the Marriott Hotel in Singapore where we were welcomed and showed to to our nice room. Next we met our friend EUNICE our hilarious friend that we met in South Africa. Eunice is a travel agent and lives in Singapore. We then caught a tour bus to Sentosa Island. To get to Sentosa we took a gondola ride from the main island of Singapore to Sentosa, a small action packed island with water park, Indoor Sky Diving, Luge, water jet pack and so more.
We first went to Under Water World and Dolphin Show. At the aquarium it was cool, we were able to touch Koi, Sharks, Fish in the normal aquarium. star fish and stingrays. My favorite things I did there were sticking my hand in the aquarium and my head inside the interactive dome of the clown fish tank. Still at the Under Water World we saw the Dolphin Show .My favorite part was seeing the seals hobbling around and doing tricks. Instead of having regular dolphins at the show, they had pink dolphins!
Shortly after the show we took a bus that took us to the Luge. The Luge was the same company as the one we did in Queenstown. This luge was definitely faster and had two tracks. Mom and I raced every time. She won two, I won two. One of the times when I was getting close to the end I was getting caught up in traffic and she zoomed past me. Another time we were battling and cutting through traffic and I came out on top.
While we waited for our group I was able to hold a python and a baby python. The python was big and scaly. It is strange to hold such a big snake. Back together with our group with "Bob's Group" we took the train all the way over to the laser show. We had to wait a bit before the Laser Show but once we entered we sat down and observed our surroundings waiting for it to begin. The laser show was the most spectacular laser or water show I have ever been. It told a story about going through time and places. It didn't only project light on solid objects but projected light on the water too.
I am glad I went to Sentosa and saw the show and did the luge. We got back to the hotel late and we we ate at the hotel's Chinese restaurant. What I, and especially mom, loved. It was raw salmon, vegetables, dressing and crunchy chips that you mix together with chopsticks and is only served during the time of Chinese New Year which is this month.
