February 15, 2015 (Baguio, Philippines)

It was Sunday in Baguio. As soon as we got breakfast we caught a taxi and drove to the LDS Church. This church wasn’t any church it was one of the ward’s that Riley served in. Baguio has a total 7 wards which was more than I expected. Our last class was Priesthood, rather than going to Elder’s Quorum with Riley and Klane I went to Young Men’s with all the other Philippino kids. The class mostly spoke English but they did speak Tagalog. This chapel was similar to the one we have at home. The people there were super friendly, people really like shaking hands here.

Next we were invited by a family whose wife was studying to be a chef at a restaurant called Mother’s Garden. It was a long lunch and different but pretty nice. While at the restaurant I saw pigs and fed rabbits with a little girl named Patricia.

In the taxi we went to Burnham Park.  We walked by the roller rink, trike rental, row boat/paddle boat rental and a local shopping strip through the park. There we bought mangos, banana nutella crepe, and even a frog coin purse which is  a real frog that was made into a wallet.

For dinner Mom suggest we go to a Mongolian restaurant for dinner near our hotel. It was different but pretty darn good! It was a buffet with rice, lettuce, other sauces, and meat such as liver, chicken and other toppings to. After you do all your toppings the chefs would cook it and the restraurant would bring it to you.
