Today was ANOTHER travel day with us flying to Boracay, Philippines from Manila. We started off by walking to the lounge and eating some breakfast which included a breakfast quesadilla which I ate later. In the van we were driven over to the next door national airport. It was around an hour flight to the Boracay area. From the airport the hotel picked us up and drove us to there lounge to wait for the boat that was going to take us take us to the hotel. Once we were on the boat we took it all the way over to the end of the island to where our hotel was. Walking onto the pier we were greeted by drummers in traditional Filipino dress playing traditional Filipino beats.
We were only in our hotel for a few minutes before we walked down to the private beach. They had two beaches, one that was shared with another hotel and one that was a smaller private beach. Later we were on the public beach with actually less people. I dug a big hole which later I was buried and given a buff body made by sand #beachbod. The hole I dug I was able to sit in it while people buried me while trying to keep breathing with pounds and pounds of sand pressed against my chest. We watched the magnificent sunset slowly droop down to the horizon and after walked back to the room.
At the room we showered up and got ready for dinner at Boracay's White Beach. The sand was soft and fine and we sat on the beach where I could dig my feet into the sand and have it run between my toes. We ate on the beach at Bamboo Lounge waiting for the Chinese New Year show. The show had only two characters who were two lions. Straight after that they had a fire dancing show which was one of the best fire dancing I had ever seen. The men and women were twirling two balls of fire around them quickly, faster and faster. In the second show after it was even more exciting. In between the dance performances there was a fireworks show that was coming from a barge off the beach. The fireworks would shoot up into the sky and leave a flair of color in the air. The fireworks show lasted around 10 minutes. My favorite part was seeing the fan of fireworks shoot from the barge in the shape of a purple and gold fan. The second fire show was more exciting with a lady even lighting her cigarette with the two fireballs spinning so quickly over her head that it was simulating a torch. She also spun the fire balls over a man in the crowd's head, which was unexpected. My mom said that although the dinner was bad, she loved the show.
