February 16, 2015

It all started with waking up at the "SWEET AZALEA" and eating some breakfast. Eaten breakfast we popped into the car and swung out towards the church. At the church we picked up some people, and headed to Burnham Park! Two of the people we picked up were two filipino boys named Beaver and Istine who were 10 and 11. Once we arrived at Burnham park we walked over to the orchard garden where they didn't just have orchards they had others to like cactus. We kept walking and eventually hit the roller rink/pingpong center/basketball arcade/kart race/bumper car center! At the park we first drove some bumper cars. These bumper cars had a steering wheel instead of two steering/power sticks. I had loads of fun! Next we walked over to the kart race and raced with two other karts, a pedal kart, and a swinging pedal kart.

Out of the fun center we bought some twist up rubber band airplanes and walked to the boat rentals where we peddled a paddle boat around a pond. The airplane that we had wasn't actually an airplane, it was a bird that would flap its wings. Once we arrived at the boat rental we had to wait a little before getting into a small swan paddle boat with three others who were Mom, Beaver, and Istine. When we came across Allie and Riley we decided to race them to the center of the pond. Beaver and I were the paddle candidates. We won the race!

We headed back to the fun center and roller bladed for a while. That was also great fun! While we were skating Riley and I got some Gopro footage. The skates were defiantly beat up but they still had a great feeling while I rode them. We could not skate yesterday because the track was wet because of the rain. My favorite part was cruising and getting into a nice smooth rhythm.

For lunch we walked over and met the rest of the group at Shakey's, a pizza parlor and we ate two pizzas.

Back at the "SWEET AZALEA" I was able to sit down, and also do some math before we drove to the bishop of the church's home. The bishop's home was small but they still had to build a second floor on there house. The family that was hosting us invited us for family home evening and dinner, with some others who were one family, a young adult named Clark and a couple who one of them served a mission and was companions with Riley. One of the games we played was the tie and the spoon game and if you lost you would have to perform a talent. It was nice of the family who was hosting us to even host us for dinner.

Driving home we had some conflicts, the first one was getting out of the neighborhood. We had to get up a STEEP hill and when we tried the first time the wheels started spinning so we had to start and try again. But this time we were on the verge of falling off a small ledge onto a house, plus Klane was driving a manual. We made it! But there was still another conflict before getting to the "SWEET AZALEA"! We accidentally took a wrong turn down a ONEWAY street. It took a little while before getting through the narrow street and back onto a normal street. And when we were about to turn onto the road to the "SWEET AZALEA" and the phrase was born "SWEET AZALEA".
