Waking up this morning was violently early at 5:30, or at least it felt like it. Right after I woke up we had to go to breakfast which was just a short walk away. My favorite part of breakfast was the toast with peanut butter and honey. Our morning activity was a game drive. We didn't have to much luck, but we did see giraffe and mongoose. You can tell how old a giraffe is by looking at his spots; if he is light he is young, but if he is dark he is old. And you can tell if he is a male or a female by looking at their forehead. If their forehead is flat it is a female, and if it has a bump on it's forehead it is a male.
We had lunch out in the bush. It was very good! My favorite part was the pasta. When we were there we were near a little pond where there were King Fishers. We were able to see the King Fisher try to catch fish. He would go up quite high then dive into the shallow pond!
After lunch we stayed at the lodge for a while playing cards for at least a hour or two. Later we had high tea. My favorite dessert was the chocolate cake. We did another game drive for our evening activity since the fishing and boat ride were all taken. But the game drive was fun. We saw Impala, Tsumbee, Kudu, Elephant, Vultures, Wattled Storks, Rollers, and Lion. When we saw the vultures we saw them eat a dead wart hog which Simon picked up. The lions were just next door, there were 2 female lionesses lying down in the grass. It was fun to see. The elephant though we had to really look for. When we eventually found them they were in a herd of around 5-10. What made me scared was that one of the elephants gave us a little charge!
