October 9, 2014 (Okavango Delta, Botswana)

Today we were able to sleep in and eat breakfast at 9:30 because we were not doing a morning activity, It felt great! For breakfast I had toast, and cereal. It was delicious. Shortly after breakfast I did my homework. At 3:30 we had high tea. My favorite part of high tea was having the quesidillas, they were very nice!

Later we did our evening activity, it was fishing! It was lots of fun. Even though we are not fishers we decided to try it out. I caught 4 tilapia, Mom caught 1 Catfish, and Peter our friend caught 3 tilapia and 1 Catfish. It was Mom’s first time catching a fish. The Catfish were most definitely the biggest fish we caught. All of the talapia we caught we kept, because then we could feed it to the Fish Eagle or cook it for dinner. When we were riding back on the boat we stopped near the fish eagle to give him one of our dead fish. Owner our driver/guide grabbed of the talipia put one of the reefs through it so it would float then chucked it in the water. After a few minutes it was in the water he swopped down and grabbed the fish. It was amazing.

About an hour later we had dinner. We were able to eat the tilapia we caught. It was very good.

We then decided to do a night drive since we missed our morning activity. On our night drive we saw: Bush Baby, Spring Hair, Impala, Tsumbee, Hippo, Genet, and LEOPARD! It was so very luck that we saw leopard. It completed the big 5 for our trip! Buffalo, Rhino, Elephant, Lion, and Leopard! We even were able to see him stock an antelope! It was the best night drive!
