October 5, 2014 (Chobe, Botswana)

We left Victoria Falls. We were heading to Botswana where we would meet Cornelia, a friend of the Nields. On the way to Botswana we saw a giraffe and a troop of baboons. When we met Cornelia she seemed just like Rachel because when we were going through Customs at the border she said to the lady that was helping us, “When are you going to come to church?” just like Rachel said to another man in Zimbabwe. Cornelia was the first member of our church in Kasane, Botswana. We went to church with her. The day that we were there, they were moving from a Group into a Branch. It was super fun to be with the other kids in Sunday School. Instead of going to Priesthood we had an hour and 45 minute Sunday School class. At the end of class we played games: Signs, “Big Boody” (which doesn’t mean the same thing in America), 21 animal questions, then a dancing birthday song. Their church is making it’s way to becoming a ward. It is small but very friendly and nice. There are a lot of deacons and young children.

After church we went to Cornelia’s house. We were staying in the blue room, the beds were so comfortable! After she showed us our room we had lunch shortly after. After lunch we chilled for a little then we went for a “Braai" (Barbecue) in the bush. For the Braai I had cooked vegetables, chicken, and steak. Then we looked at the stars. On the way back we saw a giraffe, a Honey badger, a Nightjar. The Nightjar We found was on the rode next to the airport Cornelia went and grabbed him! He was not moving very much, we thought that he had run into the electric fence near the airport. So we brought the Nightjar home. shortly after we were home we went to bed.
