When we woke up at 6:30 I was too lazy to put my contacts in so I simply wore my glasses for the day. That was a first at CCS (Cross Cultural Solutions). Breakfast was like normal, but still good. As soon as we were at the school all of the students spoke, "Good morning teachers." I love our kids! Today for our lesson we were teaching were the colors of the rainbow. Our activities during the lesson were singing the rainbow song while doing an activity, then we played musical chairs again except instead of having chairs we had colored paper. As soon as we said a color they had to run or tag the paper. Then we had all of the kids draw a rainbow from an outline we made which took forever. It was going really well until the little kids started coming. They didn't really get the drawing thing or the song activity.
After our lessons we were able to plan our lessons for the next day. We then got picked up to go back to "home base". After lunch we had a reflection meeting about our experience at CCS so far. It kind of got over board about the food in our group of 5. We asked for grilled cheese, cereal, fish, milk, and whole grain bread. After words we had John take us to Moshi where we went shopping and got groceries.
When we were shopping we got 3 paintings 2 of which I am really excited about. 1 of them is a Masai warrior walking in front of Kilimanjaro, and the other one is 2 giraffe in front of Kilimanjaro. At the super market we got a bag of snickers, which we are going to put in the freezer. I have never had frozen snickers before. After, around dinner time we had a taxi come pick us up and take us to 10 to 10 international restaurant with Balent, Sammi, Jenna, Yvette, Mom, Lynda on her way, and I. It was only ok, but it was fun to talk with everybody. When we got back we did our blog and went to bed.
